Instructions: How to Use the DJI Mavic 3M ROI Calculator

Instructions: How to Use the DJI Mavic 3M ROI Calculator
  1. Start with your farm size.
Enter the total number of acres you want to analyze (e.g., 500 acres).

  2. Input your actual costs.
Replace the default values for fertilizer/pesticide cost per acre, crop yield per acre, crop price, and labor cost with your real numbers.

  3. Estimate realistic drone impact.

    • Input reduction with drone (%): Enter how much less fertilizer/pesticide you expect to use (start conservative, 5–10%).

    • Yield improvement with drone (%): Enter how much yield increase you expect from early detection and intervention (2–5% typical).

    • Hours saved: Estimate how much time scouting with the drone saves compared to manual scouting.

  4. Check the drone cost.
The table assumes $7,000 for the Mavic 3M + RTK module, but adjust if your purchase price is different.

  5. Review the results.
The Annual Results section will show your input savings, added revenue from yield gains, labor savings, and total annual benefit.
It will also calculate payback period (months/years) and Year 1 ROI.

  6. Project long-term ROI.
In the Multi-Year Projection, adjust the analysis horizon (e.g., 3–5 years). This will show how much profit the drone generates after factoring in yearly maintenance/software costs.

⚡ Tip: Always enter your own numbers for the most accurate ROI calculation. Defaults are just examples.
